Sandahl Bergman In PANTIES Shows More Than She Wanted To — Proof in Pictures!

In 1982, a six-foot-tall dancer stepped onto the set of one of the era’s most physically demanding fantasy films, and Sandahl Bergman quickly became an unforgettable screen presence.

Long before Hollywood, Bergman trained in dance from childhood, studying ballet, jazz, tap, and flamenco before performing on Broadway in productions including Pippin and A Chorus Line. Bob Fosse also cast her in All That Jazz, giving her an opportunity to showcase her remarkable athleticism on film. Her career changed dramatically when she was cast as Valeria in Conan the Barbarian opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. With extensive physical training and sword work, Bergman brought strength and authenticity to a role that presented a woman as a formidable warrior rather than a traditional damsel. She later appeared in She, Red Sonja, Airplane II: The Sequel, and numerous television shows. Although she eventually stepped away from acting, Bergman’s combination of dance, athleticism, and screen presence continues to make her early-1980s roles memorable to fantasy and action fans.
